FNQ Foundation Feast: Catering For A Cause

Catering For A Cause

Your lunch order is
hospital funding.

FNQ Foundation Feast exists for one reason: to raise money for health care in Far North Queensland. It is a social enterprise of the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation, and the margin on every catering order goes back into the hospitals and health centres your own community uses.

The Foundation

$27 million, and counting.

Since March 1997, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has contributed more than $27 million to improving health care in the Far North region.

That covers a genuinely enormous patch, from Tully to the Torres Strait, taking in some of the most remote health services in the country. The Foundation puts money into equipment, patient and family comfort, and care that would otherwise not be funded.

Here's the part that matters. The Foundation's social enterprises fully cover its administrative costs, so every cent donated goes directly to its intended purpose. Social enterprises like FNQ Foundation Feast are what makes that possible.

How it works

From your boardroom to a bedside.

  1. 01

    You order catering

Your workplace was always going to buy lunch for that meeting. You just buy it here instead of somewhere else.

  2. 02

    The kitchen makes it

Our chefs prepare and pack it at the Cairns Hospital kitchen. You get the same quality you would expect from any good caterer.

  3. 03

    The margin goes to health

The surplus flows to the Foundation, funding equipment, comfort and care across the Far North instead of leaving the region.

More detail on the Foundation's work is at fnqhf.org.au.

The kitchen

A cause is not an excuse for average food.

Plenty of people order once for the cause. They order again because it was genuinely good. That is down to the chefs.

Executive Chef Michael

More than 15 years in professional kitchens, including two years cooking in London and a year in Italy studying regional cuisine, before settling in Cairns.

Chef Stuart

Over 20 years in the industry and formerly Head Chef at an exclusive Central Coast retreat in NSW. French trained, and set on sourcing premium local produce.

In their words

Cairns workplaces keep ordering it again.

Boardrooms, morning teas, training days and end-of-year functions. Here's what customers have said.

“We had an office gathering of 45 people and every single person came back to me regarding the catering saying how wonderful everything was.”

Michelle & Michael Office gathering, 45 people

“We choose a sharing box for our monthly board meetings. We mix it up so we get to try them all.”

Kearley Monthly board meetings

“I highly recommend FNQ Foundation Feast to cater your next event. The online ordering process is easy with a great range of delicious food options.”

Far better outcome.

Your workplace is buying catering anyway. Buy it here and the margin stays in Far North Queensland, funding the hospitals and health centres your own community relies on.
