Catering For A Cause

Every sandwich tray pays for something that matters.

Since March 1997, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has put more than $27 million into better health care across the Far North. FNQ Foundation Feast is one of the social enterprises that funds it.

The Foundation's social enterprises fully cover its administrative costs, so every cent donated goes directly to its intended purpose. So when your office orders lunch from us instead of anywhere else, the margin doesn't leave the region. It goes to equipment, patient comfort and care in the hospitals your own family uses.

Executive Chef Michael

More than 15 years in professional kitchens, including two years cooking in London and a year in Italy studying regional cuisine, before settling in Cairns.

Over 20 years in the industry and formerly Head Chef at an exclusive Central Coast retreat in NSW. French trained, and set on sourcing premium local produce.

    Give us 10 hours

    Order the afternoon before and it is ready for a morning meeting. Flag any dietaries or allergens in the notes and the chefs work to them.

    Delivered or collected

    We deliver across Cairns Monday to Friday 7am–5pm and Saturday 8am–4pm, or collect free from the Cairns Hospital campus.

    Serve it straight away

    Boxes arrive ready to put on the table. Add a cutlery set with plate, knife, fork and napkin for $1 per person.

How much notice do you need for catering in Cairns?

FNQ Foundation Feast needs 10 hours notice for catering orders, so an order placed the afternoon before is ready for a morning meeting. If your event is sooner than that, call 07 4226 8993 and the kitchen will tell you straight away what is possible.

What is the minimum catering order?

The minimum order is $24. There is no minimum head count, so a small boardroom morning tea is just as welcome as catering for 100 people. Add a cutlery set including plate, knife, fork and napkin for $1 per person if you need it.

How much does catering delivery cost in Cairns?

Delivery is $25 to Cairns CBD, Earlville and Stratford, $35 from Brinsmead and Forest Gardens through to Edmonton, and $45 from Redlynch to Palm Cove and Edmonton to Goldsborough. Anywhere further afield is quoted individually. Collection from the Cairns Hospital campus is free.

Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

Yes. Note any dietary requirements or allergens in the Add Notes section when you order and the chefs will work to them. For guests with specific needs, individual boxes are the safest choice because each one is packed and labelled separately rather than shared from a platter.

Do you deliver catering to offices and workplaces?

Yes. Office and corporate catering is the bulk of what FNQ Foundation Feast does. Delivery runs Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm across Cairns and surrounding suburbs. Order 15 to 30 minutes before your meeting so food arrives fresh.

Where do I collect a catering order?

Weekday collection is from Dcafe at Cairns Hospital, D Block Building, 165 The Esplanade, Cairns, between 6am and 5pm Monday to Friday. On weekends, collect from Sea Breeze Cafe in B Block, 165 The Esplanade, between 8am and 4pm. Both are closed public holidays.
